Holly Deni
In 2008, Lauren Locker recruited Holly Deni to provide expert advice on Social Security and Medicare benefits and elder care planning for LFS clients.
Holly has completed studies toward a Certificate in Advanced Gerontology from Rutgers University. She also holds a Certificate in Fundamentals of Gerontology from USC Davis and the American Society on Aging.
Prior to joining LFS, Holly was a public librarian for over 20 years, working at libraries in MA, MD, CO and here in NJ. She holds a M.L.S. from Simmons College as well as a M.Ed. in Counselling and Psychological Services from Springfield College.
In her spare time, Holly is an dedicated knitter, walker and reader of fiction.
Jane Shu
Jane joined the LFS team part-time in 2022 after a short attempt at retirement. She has bachelor’s degrees in computer science and biology from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the NY Restaurant School. For many years, Jane owned and operated a successful local restaurant in NJ.
Family for her includes a daughter working towards her doctorate in physical therapy and their rescue cats, Petunia and Zinnia. When not working, Jane can usually be found curled up with a good detective novel, gardening and occasionally baking something wonderful.
Susan Murdock
Susan joined the LFS service team part-time in 2023 in an administrative position. She received her BA from Rutgers University and MS from Stevens Institute of Technology, both in computer science. Susan worked for several years in the tech industry before taking time off to start her family. She has since served in various administrative roles, most recently as a billing manager for a small investment firm.
With two grown daughters, Susan has adjusted to empty nester life with her husband and their Labradoodle, Ellie. She enjoys spending her free time working in her flower gardens, growing milkweed for the butterflies, and going for walks with Ellie. She recently received her cottage food operator (home baker) permit and loves whipping up a batch of cookies to sweeten any day.
The Pup Squad – Sargent Pepper and Abbey Rhoades
Sargent Pepper and Abbey Rhoades, both rescues from Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, are important to the success of our service team.
While they will not be able to provide you with any insights about the proper allocation of your portfolio, they have a lot of information to share regarding adaptability, joyous living and the gracious acceptance of treats. Ask to say hi to them when you visit us!
